How It Works

We will meet in your home for a complimentary initial consultation to discuss the needs and likes / dislikes of all people within the household, and any dietary restrictions that might apply.  We will take a basic inventory of your kitchen / food prep areas which will help establish that the needed appliances and cookware are available, and to determine your food storage availability.  We will establish which days are best for cooking and preparing meals in your home.  For example, a full seven day meal plan might look like this*:

Meals for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be prepared on Monday

Meals for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be prepared on Thursday

This is always something we can discuss and customize for your specific household.  That’s the beauty of it.  This is YOUR meal plan.  We also need to work out the details of entrance to your home (house key, alarm, kids coming home from school, emergency contact information, and if you have pets - where they will be while I am preparing your meals.)

It is important to note that your payment will be due at the time of your commitment to the Customized Meal Plan - before the menu planning and shopping begins.

Based upon the information we gather at our meeting, I will come up with a personalized menu for your approval. If you have favorite items you would like included we can add those as well. I will submit the weekly menu for your approval within 24 hours of our initial consultation, but prior to beginning shopping.

Next, on the day of preparation, I will shop for all the items needed.  I will be using only the freshest ingredients.  If you have a preference for local, sustainable food, I will do my best to utilize those resources when possible**.  I have established relationship with many local farmers in the Marion County area.   Based upon the meal plan that you purchase, your meals will be packaged as service for one, two or four people. 

When I have prepared, packaged and stored all the food for you, the only evidence left behind will be the delicious smells lingering in the air.

*Note: One day meal preparation is also available, but the meals would be frozen.
